Youth Hostels are a great base for exploring the Peak District. If you haven't stayed at one before, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Gone are the days of sweeping up, cleaning the toilets and all the other 'chores'. Many of today's Youth Hostels rival ( and sometimes better) quality hotels for accomodation and cuisine.
